The college that has produced 13 British Prime Ministers and has been the setting for many scenes in the filming of the movies of J. K. Rowling’s Harry Potter series! This iconic and beautiful leg of our tour also includes the majestic Carfax tower! Will you brave the 99 steps for breath-taking views over Oxford when you Hop Off at Stop 7?
Carfax Tower
The tower is 74 feet tall and no building in central Oxford may constructed higher than it. Hop off at Stop 7 to climb the 99 steps to the top of the tower for a really good view over the Oxford skyline.
The Radcliffe Camera
THE Oxford Icon!!! Built between 1737 and 1749, it forms part of the world-famous Bodleian Library complex and houses mainly English, History and Theology books. Only students and scholars are admitted, but you can still take in the fantastic views and stroll through the nearby Bodleian courtyards by hopping off at nearby Stop 8.
Magdalen Bridge and Botantic Gardens
With gardens containing more than 8,000 different plant species, the University of Oxford Botanic Garden at Stop 10 is the oldest botanic garden in Great Britain and has been in use since 1621!
Sheldonian Theatre
Hop off at Stop 13 to see some of the most iconic sights in Oxford. The Sheldonian Theatre, Bridge of Sighs and neoclassical Clarendon Building can all be seen from here.
Natural History & Pitt Rivers
Founded in 1884 by General Augustus Pitt Rivers, the museum’s collection has now grown to some 500,000 items! Its world-famous exhibits feature many archaeological and ethnographic objects from all parts of the world and all-time periods. It is truly a global museum that can be found close to both Stop 12 and Stop 15!
North Parade
Established in 2012, it has quickly become one of the highest regarded streets in Oxford renowned for its excellent coffee, bohemian shops and artisan producers from the local area! There’s nothing like it so Hop Off at Stop 16!
St Giles and Little Clarendon Street
Known locally as Little Trendy Street, Stop 18 presents you with one of the most notable areas in North Oxford just off the Woodstock Road. The variety of shops and cafés make it a particularly trendy and bohemian area!
Ashmolean Museum
